Where is Summer??!

That's what everyone  here in New England is asking - we have a hot humid day and then we are putting the blankets back on the bed and turning the heat on!?!
Well -  summer is here on my card today!
I water colored the background on water color paper - first brushing over the panel with water and then adding watercolor paint with a wet brush - tan for the sand - dark blue for the ocean waves and lighter blue for the sky.  I added this cute little layered die cut umbrella - popping the top up on foam dots and this lovely seaside sentiment.   I used a new embossing folder I just purchased called Level Curves. I thought it looked like a few things - a topography map, snail marks in the sand - and/or marks in the sand underwater after the waves have gone by!  Anyway, I thought it added nice CAS texture in white!

I'm linking my seaside card to:
Splitcoaststampers - Inspiration Challenge
I was inspired by the photo on the bottom - from Caron's Beach Website

Do not use patterned paper -  and use a die cut

Use a die cutting machine -  I used my Vagabond to cut my umbrella die.

I love your textured background, which was perfect for your beautifully watercolored sand, waves and sky. Such a sweet die cut umbrella that kept your design CAS. TFS Julia and joining us at CAS Watercolour. Hugs..

Your summer sounds similar to Vancouver's - today I am wearing a wool sweater, jeans, and socks again - after a few weeks in May in capris, t-shirts, and sandals! Love your watercoloured sea, sky, and sand with that perfect sentiment and beach umbrella. The embossed background looks like the swirls in the sand after the tide goes out. A great card! Thanks for joining us at CAS Watercolour!

Gorgeous card...I'm in Washington state and wonder where summer is too, with rain falling outside my Craft Coop Windows. I hope you'll make the Double Trouble challenge a regular stop on your list.

Beautifully created card! I know just what you mean about the weather. I lived in Massachusetts for eight years and always loved spending time at the shore. Thanks for playing along at Double Trouble and be sure to enter your card into Three Amigos.
