Be Happy Together - Forever

The CAS challenge over at Split Coast was to create a card using a greeting as your main focal point. For my card - I embossed a Labels 12 nestie frame using two sizes of the die. Then I just stamped the greeting inside the frame and added a leaf frond charm tied with a knot of gold cord.

The greeting is from the stamp set Pears and Hollyhocks by Mark's Finest Papers and will be available to purchase tomorrow (6/8)! The paper, charm and cord are also MFP. I think this card would be great for either a wedding or anniversary card don't you?
I'll be participating in the MFP DT blog hop on Wednesday using other stamps from this set so I hope you can come back to check that out!

Stamps: Marks Finest Papers - Pears & Hollyhocks (available 6/8)
Paper: textured cream - Marks Finest Papers
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: charm & gold cord - Marks Finest Papers, Labels 12 Nestabilities, cuttlebug, glue dot

The technique challenge at Split Coast was to create a card that is personal and also uses a favorite technique.

I printed this photo of my husband's parents, Marjorie and Charlie onto cream cardstock.
Marjorie just passed away a week ago at the age of 94 and Charlie passed away 7 years ago at the age of 89. As they both wished to be cremated - we will be having a joint burial next week and a little party celebrating the love they had for each other and the love they gave to their family and friends.

This is a picture of them about 20 years ago when they took a long anticipated trip to Hawaii. They are dressed in their matching Hawaiian print outfits! In recent years, Marjorie would wear Charlie's shirt in her assisted living apartment.

One of my favorite techniques is to stamp a sentiment directly on a printed photograph and that is what I did here. This lovely sympathy verse is from a set called Irish Blessings by Waltzingmouse Stamps

I'm going to make two of these and send them to my DH's sister and brother -I think they will appreciate them!

Stamps: Waltzingmouse Stamps - Irish Blessings
Paper: white, vintage cream - PTI, Pacific Blue - SU
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Martha Stewart corner punch, sticky pearls

I've had my iPad in support of about 2 months now and I'm considerable you, Steve jobs certainly has his technique of converting people to be a Mac/Apple fan. I own the iPad without 3G because I didn't be deficient in to secure to pay for a supplemental silhouette in layout to come to an understanding a arise the micro SIM card. So I've kinda lawful lived with my iPad purely where there's wifi connection. Which are aplenty anyway at Starbucks, Mcdonalds, and the libraries. This was to come my new zealand mate introduced me to a tickety-boo way circa this stew -- a 3G wifi router AP that supports GPRS, GSM, WCDMA, HSUPA, HSDPA, UMT and LIMIT!

I purchased the Huawei E5830 3G WiFi Router AP (WCDMA/HSUPA/HSDPA/UMT/EDGE/GPRS/GSM) from DealtoWorld.com, in the Networking group, below my friend's recommendation, and I think he gets points or commission from my grasp, since he's a DealtoWorld.com affiliate. The router AP is warmly vest-pocket, lightweight and convenient. So any longer I can weld to wifi anywhere with mp iPad! I no longer essential to pry into on a trip and not up to par because a wifi AP at cafes etc. Nor put in so much of my bread on caffeine overdose at Starbucks and other cafes. Into the bargain, the 3G Wifi Router AP supports mignonne much all the bandwidths -- GPRS,GSM,WCDMA,HSUPA,HSDPA,UMT,EDGE. Accept a look at pictures I've uploaded of the Huawei 3G WiFi router that has made my effervescence so much easier, and is promoting a healthier caffeine-free lifestyle. It proves that a geek lifestyle does not not have to go keeping in hand with coffee.

And to imagine I was considering paying supplement to upgrade to the iPad that supports 3G! I'm so thrilled that that's not indispensable anymore with this 3G wifi router AP. I can righteous tie together to the internet wherever I am with the Huawei 3G Wifi Router, as extensive as there is signal. This is not a technology creation per se, but it has certainly made my lifetime far more thrifty! Further, I'm masterly to prevent my spondulix that I would generally speaking fritter away on Starbucks, McCafe, and other cafes with wifi! Which, at near the fail, makes me query whether it's a ploy by Steve Jobs, to organize launched the 3G iPad portrayal one much later, so that wifi cafes can get a kick plenty of trade from iPad wifi version. But I digress.

The 3G WiFi router AP I bought from DealtoWorld.com would unquestionably also be clever to authorize to me download and play around with my apps on my iTouch, granted I haven't tried it yet. Shouldn't be a intractable I should think. This $100+ may be the crush bills I've used up since it enables me to suffer with a variety of WiFi core wherever I am. If I was more entrepreneurial, I can smooth start charging other geeks at cafes without WiFi representing sacrifice access to them. I'm steadfast I can question pocket abandon the $100 this way! Alternatively, peradventure I can start being an affiliate of DealtoWorld.com too, since I'm starting to buy more gadgets and tools there, and contain been spreading little talk up to my family and friends. Into the bargain, Christmas is coming in less than 2 months' interval, and I contemplate this Huawei 3G WiFi router would obtain a awesome cumshaw concerning profuse of my tech geek friends. I'm satisfied they'll also rise how sleek and bold the router looks!
