Easter Chick Jar

Boy should I be in bed! I am so tired - but I have to finish up several Easter Crafts for my sale at church this Sunday. (plus I WANT to do my crafts - KWIM??) I feel like it was just last week I was working on Valentines crafts for that sale and here it is almost Easter! Easter is very early this year coming in March - so I guess it was just a few weeks ago I was doing Valentines ! LOL!!
So - I decorated these cute little jars from Michaels that are marketed as favors for weddings. I saw the idea on a blog and I thought it was Lauren's (the same place I got the great tutorial for the nestability baskets) but I couldn't find it there just now so I'll come back and link to it when I find it. If it's on your blog and you are reading this - please leave me a comment so I can give credit!!
The jars come 20 to a box for about $20 but I used my 40% off coupon so they were about 60 cents a piece. I filled them with jelly beans and tied a ribbon around the cover rim. I put a glue dot on the bottom of the rim to help hold the ribbon on while I tied it in a double knot. Then I stamped my $1 Michaels stamp on PapertreyInk white cs and punched it out with my scalloped oval nestability - poor chicky lost her feet in the process but the jar will hold her up!
I colored her in with my Prismacolor markers and I sponged the edges with pretty in pink, bashful blue or certainly celery and used a velvet green ribbon, a pink gingham ribbon or a yellow striped ribbon.
I think these are just the sweetest things - they are not very big - they just hold 10-12 jelly beans each.
Thanks for coming by tonight and checking out my project. Special thanks to Linsey (Outside the lines) and Danielle (Wild Dragonfly Designs) who always leave me terrifically fun comments!! Please check out their blogs - they are listed on the right column under blogs I like to visit. They have beautiful projects on their blogs!!
Also a thanks to Jan on the west coast who left me a very nice comment yesterday! It is greatly appreciated!
I don't get a lot of comments but my counter keeps going up so I know people are stopping by!
Have a great night - I'm dragging myself to bed now!
Stamps: Michaels $1
Paper: white Papertreyink
Ink: pitch black Adirondack
Accessories: favor jars from Micheals, ribbons, prismacolor markers, glue dots, nestability scalloped circle

Another real cute project, even without their "feet". Who wouldn't like to receive one of these for their Easter treat. Thanks, Julia

These are super cute! So cute, in fact, that I just need to CASE them! (Hope you don't mind!) Only thing, I can't find the jars in my Michaels! I see containers for wedding favors, such as little white buckets, the tins, little white baskets and so on.......any help? Am I looking in the wrong place? Thanks! And again, fabulous job!
